A-Derma Skin Care Cream | Review

jodie / 29th October 2014

Ever had a skin care product you love so much it becomes your Holy Grail? Your staple, your desert island product – something you genuinely believe you couldn’t live without? Well, I recently discovered mine was breaking me out. I can barely contain my grief. I recently found the cause of my disgusting chin whiteheads was my by beloved Aveeno…

How to Treat Spots and Blemishes

jodie / 23rd October 2014

I’ve never been one to struggle with spots. During my teens I was fortunate enough not to suffer from acne; my skin teetered on the fence, sometimes swaying towards normal, sometimes dry, but always sensitive. Which is why, as a 22 year old, it confused the shit out of my when my chin suddenly erupted in whiteheads, blackheads and who-knows-what-else.…

Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish | Review

jodie / 22nd October 2014

You know the dilemma you face when you need a new cleanser, but haven’t shaken up your routine in so long you don’t really know what the best option is? That was me about 3 months ago. After doing a whole lot of research on cleansers, I decided to try out the famous Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish hot cloth cleanser. Praised…

Liz Earle Skin Repair Moisturiser (normal/combination) | Review

jodie / 15th October 2014

After being blown away by Liz Earle’s famous and well-respected Cleanse & Polish hot cloth cleanser, I had really high hopes for this moisturiser by the same brand. I like Liz Earle’s ethos of being natural and gentle, even though I don’t always agree that natural is better (as I’ve probably made abundantly clear in numerous other blog posts), and…

E.L.F Mineral Infused Face Primer | Review

jodie / 9th October 2014

My go-to primer for the past few months has been e.l.f.’s Mineral Infused Face Primer (£6.95) in green for colour correcting. I ran out recently, so I popped into the Cardiff e.l.f store last weekend to pick up a new bottle. Unfortunately, they didn’t have the green one, which I love because it’s so silky and hides any redness in my…

Steamcream | Review

jodie / 8th October 2014

Incase you’ve haven’t already heard about it (I hadn’t until about 2 weeks ago), Steamcream is a relatively new brand of skincare with an all-natural vibe. The concept is pretty interesting – their website tells us the following: “STEAMCREAM represents the latest concept in skincare. Freshly handmade using high-quality, natural ingredients that are fused together by a shot of steam.…

La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo [+] | Review

jodie / 26th September 2014

I’ve only recently discovered this little wonder-product, but it’s already made a massive difference to my skin. I first saw it on A Model Recommends, the author of which swears by it for clearing up any spots, and after some research, I discovered this was a cult skincare favourite. I don’t have massively blemish prone skin, but I do get…

NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer | Review

jodie / 25th September 2014

I got this after reading tons of blogs in order to find a concealer which wouldn’t crease under my eyes or look powdery and caked on. The general consensus was that this concealer is the one of the best; it was a toss up between this and MAC Pro Longwear, but seeing as I was buying a bottle of NARS Sheer Glow at the same time, I thought it made sense to buy the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer to accompany it.

7 Steps to Sensational Skin

jodie / 18th September 2014

I’m a firm believer in investing more money, time, and effort on your skincare than on your makeup. If you’ve got £30 to spend on either a nice bottle of Estee Lauder Double Wear, or some alpha/beta hydroxy acids, a nice, soothing moisturiser, and a gentle cleanser, I’d go for the latter because it’s better to have skin that glows and is blemish free, than to cover up your mishaps with the thickest, hardiest foundation you can find.
